By deconstructing the lies constraining conventional American life, Otto embudes his works with a more complex definition of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Growing up in a conservative christian household, promises of freedom and god-given greatness veiled the true nature of life: “nothing is promised.”
Otto uses a mix of digtial and analog photographic processes to create conversations around artificiality. Otto’s photography has been displayed both locally and nationally, including at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl and the Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.
